  6. Thank you for trying Loan*Calculator! Plus for Windows. Version 1.0 was
  7. released in June 1995. It received a "Best of Category" award from PC
  8. Computing Magazine in July 1996.
  9.  
  10. Version 2.0 adds the ability to produce a loan amortization schedule.
  11. The amortization schedule features go beyond those found in simple
  12. calculator programs. Two popular advanced features that are supported is
  13. the ability to have irregular length initial periods with interest being
  14. accrued using one of several methods and the ability to include loan
  15. points in the schedule. Points can be paid using one of three methods.
  16. Additionally, Loan*Calculator! Plus will prepare an amortization
  17. schedule based on one of 5 methods. Besides using what is usually
  18. considered a "Normal" method, you can prepare a schedule that conforms
  19. to the US Rule, Rule-of-78s or Canadian conventions (ie monthly payments
  20. with semiannual compounding. Finally, you can prepare a schedule for
  21. Interest Only or Fixed Principal loans.

  23. There have also been a number of ease-of-use enhancements as well. At
  24. the user's option, each calculator will open to its last screen position
  25. rather than a default position. Fly over help (or balloon help) has been
  26. added. Naturally, once you know what the different buttons do, you can
  27. turn this feature off.

  29. When making side-by-side comparisons, we've gone a long way to minimize
  30. data entry. When a second calculator is opened, it assumes the same
  31. values that were used for the previous calculator's calculation.
  32. Therefore, if you just want to see what a payment would be at a
  33. different interest rate, you only need to change the rate and enter '0'
  34. for the payment before you calculate. (If you want to enter a whole new
  35. set of values, just click on the [Reset] button and enter the new
  36. values.)

  38. This version is the 32-bit version designed for Windows 95/NT. It will
  39. not run under Windows 3.x. (We do have a 16-bit version of this program
  40. that works exactly the same way, has the same features and will run
  41. under Windows 3.x. You may download a copy at our web site. See below.)

  49. none affect the program's accuracy. But that is not to say that there
  50. might not be a bug that we don't know about that could affect the

  52. click on BUGS in the program group) and if you find a problem that is
  53. NOT listed here, please report it to us.
